What is a climbing guidebook for?
A climbing guidebook is a climber's treasure map: where to park, how to find the foot of the routes, which line to follow and what grade to expect. Long printed, often out of print or out of date, it now fits in your pocket, on your phone.
On OneTopo, each guidebook is made with the clubs, committees and route setters who bolt the crag: routes are drawn on photos, sometimes in 3D, and stay available without signal at the foot of the cliff. And because anchors don't install themselves, most of every sale goes back to them.

Are OneTopo climbing guidebooks free?
The app is free. Some guidebooks are free, others unlock directly in the app, crag by crag. Each guidebook's price is shown on its page.
Can I use a guidebook without signal?
Yes. Once unlocked, the guidebook is downloaded to your phone: routes, photos and lines stay available offline, right at the foot of the routes.
Who benefits when I buy a guidebook?
Most of each guidebook's price goes to the organisations that open, bolt and maintain the routes: clubs, regional committees and route-setting associations.
My crag doesn't have a OneTopo guidebook yet. What can I do?
Do you bolt or maintain a crag? We'll make its digital and 3D guidebook with you, and most of the sales go to your organisation. Head to the “Create my guidebook” page.
