Connelles

Connelles is the area of the pioneers, the source of climbing in Normandy, where many of the great names in climbing came to learn their trade! The "Voie Normale" in the Tour sector, for example, was opened in 1952 by CAF climbers! The sector mainly offers routes ranging from 4b to 6c (beware, the grading is a bit old school!), mostly west-facing. The Connelles cliffs are classified as adventure terrain, and climbers are advised to exercise caution.
