Connelles - Secteur fermé pour risque de chute de pierres
⚠️ Area Closed - Temporary climbing ban due to risk of falling rocks Connelles is the pioneers’ cradle, the birthplace of climbing in Normandy, where many of the sport’s great names came to hone their skills! The “Voie Normale” in the Tour sector, for example, was first climbed in 1952 by CAF climbers! The area mainly offers routes ranging from 4b to 6c (note that the ratings are a bit old school!) and are mostly west-facing. The Connelles cliffs are classified as adventure terrain, and climbers should exercise caution. Our ethical guidebook is brought to you by the FFME Eure Regional Committee in collaboration with Pascal Bocianowski, the lead route setter for the cliffs along the Seine.
