Rock climbing in the Drôme

On the doorstep of Provence, the Drôme blends sunshine, limestone and lavender. The Saou forest, a vast perched syncline, is its jewel: a spectacular natural amphitheatre that shelters several climbing sectors on compact, grippy rock.
The Mur du Temps, at Saou offers varied routes in an outstanding setting, deep in the forest. Not far away, La Graville gives sunny climbing, perfect for enjoying the mild climate of the Provençal Drôme.
The Drôme limestone is best climbed in spring and autumn, when temperatures stay pleasant. In high summer, go for shaded sectors and early-morning slots.
To extend the adventure, Rang de Mars and l'Ultime Fugue complete the valley's climbing panorama. All topos are available from the OneTopo app.
