Climbing at Carrière Misery: what to know

In the middle of Nantes, by the Loire, the former Misery quarry has been turned into the Jardin extraordinaire. Since 2017 its walls have hosted a climbing site of about a hundred routes, in the eastern part of the garden and in the Aubin square.

The site is for autonomous climbers, comfortable leading and handling ropes. The garden (1 rue Joseph-Cholet) is open every day, from 8:30am to 8pm in summer, and can be reached by public transport, stop Carrière Misery. Since June 2026, two via ferrata routes complete the offer, by reservation.

The Carrière Misery guidebook is available in the OneTopo app, with its sectors and every route on a photo, available offline.
