La Graville

A classic among the beginner crags in the Drôme region, La Graville offers routes ranging from about 20 meters in length up to 7b. The sandstone is very grippy, resistant to weathering, and provides a fairly varied climbing experience (slabs, cracks, overhangs). The crag is located 1 km east of the charming village of Saoû and at the foot of the campground of the same name. Relatively shaded and north-facing, it is the ideal area for climbing in the summer. This guidebook was produced in partnership with the CAF of Saoû Synclinal, which equips and maintains the area. The print guidebook “Escalade en Drôme: Vallée de la Drôme & Diois,” managed by the CAF of the Drôme, covers all the surrounding areas.
