A must-visit spot in Le Charmeil, Festival offers everything you’d want in a family-friendly crag: a variety of difficulty levels, a very pleasant base area, exposures that allow for climbing in all seasons, and a wide range of inclines and styles. Here, the routes are short, but you can have just as much fun on the sculpted slabs rated 6 as you can pushing yourself to the limit on the steep overhangs in the left-hand sectors—the scene of the latest feats by the “nanogradists”! Once a source of conflict between climbers and local residents, this crag has finally found a fragile balance through a management agreement and the creation of a parking lot with dry toilets. This was made possible thanks to the efforts of the Vercors Regional Nature Park, the municipality, Bernard Gravier, the Bourne and Isère Community of Communes, and the Isère Departmental Council.
