La Cariée
A small cliff of chalk and flint offering breathtaking views of the Seine and the two neighboring lakes. With its easy access and user-friendly conditions, La Cariée is the perfect area for beginners! Owned by the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels de Normandie, the area was rebolted in 2024 by the SNE Commission of the CT FFME of the Eure. A handrail has been installed to secure access to the north face, and there are anchor points at the top of the cliff for top-roping. It is strictly forbidden to climb above the cave. Our ethical guidebook is brought to you by the FFME Territorial Committee of the Eure in collaboration with Pascal Bocianowski, lead route setter for the cliffs along the Seine.
